Ladies Circle

Every year Long Eaton hold a charity ball and this year it was in support of Help for Heroes.

We were trying to think of ways to boost the money we raise and after maybe a few too many glasses of wine I came up with the idea of doing a calendar.  To my surprise everyone agreed!!!

It took a lot of planning as we wanted it to be as flattering as possible and Alison our treasurer came up with the idea of a Military Theme which tied in with our charity. After getting permission from HFH to produce it we went ahead and had fantastic fun doing the photo shoot.

As the ball loomed we were beginning to wonder if we had done the right thing and nerves were getting the better of us, also we had kept it a complete secret, no-one except us knew about it! But when we unveiled it on the night it went down a storm and we sold over half there and then!

Since then we have sold almost every copy, and raised a fantastic £5,078.58 for Help for Heroes.

So it was all worthwhile in the end and we will all have something to show our grandchildren!
