International Service Project 2005-2007
Nepal Highlander Orphanage
This
project was put forward by Ladies Circle Denmark at the International AGM in Iceland. The Danish Circle No. 18 –Svendborg are the main supporters of the project.
They
say, “ We were really happy to win and have the first project ever in
Denmark, but another thing what really made us happy was that we now had the
opportunity to give these children their ”own” home instead of moving in and
out of different houses. Sometimes they have to do this because the rent often
from one month to another can raise within 100 % and the people behind the
orphanage can’t afford this.”
Vibeke Pedersen is behind the project and visited Nepal in October. It is then,
that a place was sort from where they start to build the house. The ground will
cost about 10.000 – 15.000 EUR.
