Austria...what a meeting!

For some it started on Thursday early morning, Mandy & Nigel arrived in Salzburg, where they were collected and driven to Spittal. Area 30 girls sat on the runway at Stanstead for 2 hours before leaving on a jet plane to Salzburg to then catch a train to Spittal...whereas,

Area 28 girls, myself and Rhian were sleeping on Stanstead’s airport floor until Friday morning because Rhinoair said we could not fly...wind high!

After, singing ourselves to sleep and recruiting to circlers to City of London, we eventually left Stanstead to Graz at 11.10am only 19 hours late!

A further 2 ½ hour drive finally saw us at our hotel in Spittal, where we were whisked away after a quick shower up into those beautiful hills for a great Friday night party!

Singing, dancing, friendship – everything that Ladies Circle is about was there!

The weekend was a great success - but, as dedicated circlers of travel we would like you to heed to the following instructions when packing a case for a Mid Term Meeting:

  • Sense of Humour ESSENTIAL though could exceed baggage allowance if not careful!
  • Valid booking pass
  • Bottle of Brandy
  • Screwdriver
  • Ladies Circle Carrier bags, membership leaflets – induction kits, pins in fact a direct debit mandate!
  • Spare underwear in hand luggage
  • Lie Detector kit

Other tips that we found useful for International travelling are...

  • Watch out when flying Rhinoair!
  • Weigh baggage carefully and keep night watch to see if weight  increases without opening zips!
  • Diplomatic head not zebedee head needed when approaching any type of airport staff
  • Little Red Riding Hood’s Granny...watch ‘em their crafty!
  • Ensure you have as much TIME on your hands as possible!
  • The ability to drink duty free instantly as cannot re-embark through customs with liquids again……..!

Hope you like the pictures...
