As with any large organisation, Ladies' Circle has to have a structure, so that individual Circles can communicate with one another and organise events in an effective manner.

- Firstly, and most importantly, come the Circles. Each one has a Chairman, together with a number of officers.

- Next come the Areas - 39 of them, made up of anything up to 25 individual Circles. Each Area has its own Area Executive, consisting of a Chairman and a number of Area Officers.

- The Area Chairmen, together with the National Executive, form the National Council, which meets 3 times a year, to discuss issues and to formulate the agenda for the National AGM.

- Circle is in fact pyramid-shaped! At the apex is the National President, who chairs both the National Council Meetings, and the National AGM. She is supported by the other 7 members of the National Executive, who meet 5 times a year, to carry out the business of the Association.

- All the posts mentioned so far are voluntary, but the administration of such a large organisation could not be carried out without the dedicated team of permanent paid staff who work at Headquarters Office in Birminham- see the Headquarters page for details of the staff, and how to get to HQ Office.
