We had our Mums Nights Out event in Lichfield on Wednesday and I thought you might like to see the pictures! Lichfield 106 - Mums Night Out As a result, we’ve got one interested lady definitely coming to our next meeting on Tuesday – in fact she’s the speaker (makeup artist), with a view to finding out more, and several more ladies to follow up on. The stand itself looked fantastic – we had a rolling powerpoint of all the pictures from this year, and a bit of a presentation I did for last year’s members night. We also created our own flier (which still needs titivating and I’ll send you a copy of it once it’s done properly) – again from two of the girls input. We’ve bought our own website, which at the moment is sending viewers directly to our micro-site on our local aboutmyarea. We are in the process of designing our own website and I’ll keep you up to date on that. www.lichfieldladiescircle.co.uk As a couple of pieces of advice to other circles, if they are interested in doing something similar: Get a circle sim card and an old mobile phone, so any fliers, etc, would display a generic phone number which the chair carries around – I received my first call on it the day after the function, so we know it works! Also it means that you don’t have to change the flier every time the contact person changes. Use some form of data capturing for the contacts you make – we slipped up on this, and only realised part way through the evening that we’d missed a trick here, in terms of formally taking names and numbers of interested ladies. Silly of us really! Maybe a raffle, or even just a clipboard. We also provided sweets on the stand. We have had some t-shirts printed free of charge through a contact (again, not brill, but they’ll do the job) – it was lovely to be dressed the same, or at least with the circle logo on. Lichfield 106 - Mums Night Out So no big event this year – lots of little ones, focussing on fun and friendship. Whatever we do for charity will be a bonus, just for a short while. (Having said that we’re doing rather well so far, having just given away £600 to various charities, and already raised over £100 since the AGM!!)
