LCI President - Tracey Wilkinson GB&I - You're Special

Tracey Wilkinson (LCI President) has been off on her global travels again - this time Taranto, Italy where celebrations took place at the first charter of the club.

As always when Tracey travels, problems occur with transport - trains this time!

Eventually after arriving in Taranto celebrations begin. The ceremony was attended by many people and representatives from Ladies Circle Italy, Round Tables and 41 Clubs.

The aims and objects of LC Taranto were read, and the certificate of affiliation and jewels presented. The official banner was unveiled and LC No. 14 Taranto was chartered with ten members.

It was a very moving moment for everyone. To read more about Tracey's travels in Tarato click here

Friday 24th March, was a great night for international friendship in Halifax!

Joining Area 3 was our very own LCI President Tracey Wilkinson and her international board friends, Kathleen Flynn (VP), Kirsten Pressel (Treasurer), Sylvia Mwansa (IPP), and Kristel Viilver (Secretary).

Tracey has been enjoying lots of international fun and here are a few snippits of her LCI Day Report - click here to read what Tracey has been up to!

Here goes the jottings of an International traveller....

"As my reputation goes before me, and as I travelled alone, I managed to arrive in the correct Country and after a ‘mad dash’, due to delays, with 10 minutes to spare – I caught my connection, and luckily my baggage arrived also......" "This called for a couple of Vodka Shots to numb the coldness...." "To conclude the day we made our way to the Hotel Latvia to the 26th floor where we enjoyed cocktails in the skyline bar until late, taking in the panoramic views of the city of Latvia." "After a welcome drink of hot wine....." "My real challenge was how to get down a slope in my pink wellies."

Le Selestat took place over Easter.

Again, Tracey experienced another interesting journey to faraway shores (or France) this time involving a bus!

An emotional ceremony was held with the Mayor of the town present - and a new circle was formed with 19 new members!

Tracey enjoyed the wine, champagne and dancing to a French band Gin Fyzz - taking in all the culture, she can now answer questions on vineyards and clarets!
