The
Story of Henry VIII's Flagship
|
The
raising of King Henry VIII's famous Tudor warship the Mary Rose
in 1982, was watched by an estimated 60 million people worldwide, and
since that time, a dedicated team of voluntary presenters nationwide
have raised over £200,000 towards the ongoing conversation cost
of the hull and unrivalled collection of Tudor artefacts. Presenters
are available to talk about the fascinating story of the Mary Rose,
her history, discovery, excavation and raising and the ongoing challenge
of preserving this unique time capsule of Tudor history, which is
now on display in Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. A small charge is made
for the presentation and is donated to The Mary Rose Trust. Further
information about the presenters is available from The Mary Rose Trust,
