Hello
everyone, especially all new Circle and Area Treasurers.
A Circler for the last 13 years I am a member of Sheringham
and Cromer No. 453 in North Norfolk, part
of Area 51, and for the next two years at least, I am your National
Treasurer.
I aim to continue the great work done by Angela and the Execs
she has worked with over the last few years as I support Mandy
in her year as President.
NALC has some changes and challenges to face and deal with over
the next few years and I am looking forward to working with you
and the new Exec as we take them on. I am especially looking
forward to Jacky at HQ reporting on all the new members forms
coming in as we take on Mandy’s first challenge to "replace
our retiring members and to add at least one to each of our Circles",
I know we can achieve this.
Ladies Circle is a unique and fantastic organisation but let’s
not pretend it does not present it’s moments of frustration
and tantrums, what in life doesn’t, I have been there,
however the friendships I have made and the fun I continue to
have outstrips any of that, which is why I stood for this job.
For whatever reason you came to join NALC enjoy your time being
part of it, be it meeting up with friends for a chat, trying
something new which on your own you would never do, making new
friendships Nationally or Internationally or giving back to the
communities you live in, by raising money or giving your time
(and working for a Charity myself I know the importance of volunteers),
do it with a smile and have fun.
Don’t forget the Admin
Handbook under standard documents is there to help you
with any queries on VAT, the Charities Act and much more, NALC
holds a Combined Commercial Insurance Policy and an All Risks
Policy for more information click
here.
Don’t forget I am also here to help you with any financial
problems or queries so please contact
me if you need help, advice or if you have anything you
want to air, all I ask is just please be gentle with me, remember
I am a Circler just like you.
As we celebrate 70 years of Circling this year and look forward
to hosting the International Conference in 2008 I know NALC has
a great time ahead of it.
Yours in friendship
