Welcome to LCI 2010 - Lady Chocolate in Bruges

The 51st International Conference of Ladies’ Circle International

Ladies’ Circle is an international organisation for women between 18 and 45 who want to share “Friendship & Service” in their own country and all over the world.

Ladies' Circle International counts approximately 13,000 members in 36 countries worldwide. Once a year, in August, all these members are invited to join the Annual General Meeting in one of the member countries. This three day’s conference is the festive grand finale of the working year of LCI.

In 2010 Ladies’ Circle Belgium is very pleased and honoured to welcome the 51st International Conference in Bruges, the chocolate city.

Welcome to Belgium

Belgium fires one's imagination. Tourists from all over the world are attracted to Belgium and its cosmopolitan capital, Brussels. Belgium means holidays in many forms and has a lot to offer to foreign tourists. The Belgians are well known for their hospitality and for taking pleasure in their guests enjoying themselves.

Those guests with a craving for art, history, culture or architectural beauty, will be pampered in our cities of art. Those who would like a taste of our gastronomy will have every wish satisfied. Belgium plays an important role in the gastronomic life of Europe. Belgian chocolate is world famous. Not surprisingly then Ladies’ Circle Belgium took “Lady Chocolate in Bruges” as the device for the LCI Conference of 2010.

Welcome to Bruges, the chocolate city, World Heritage City!

Known as the Venice of the North, Bruges is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe which offers you an amazing journey from the past into the future. Upon visiting Bruges, you will immediately notice that this city has always carefully cherished its architectural and artistic treasures from the past.

Walking along the cobbled alleys and romantic canals, you imagine yourself to be in medieval times. All year round the rich aroma of chocolate wafts through the World Heritage City and countless creative confectioners make thousands of kilograms of Belgian chocolate. It may not surprise you that Bruges is the most popular tourist destination in Belgium.

So “Welkom, Bienvenue, Willkommen” and Be a Lady Chocolate in Bruges!
