An initiative by Ladies Circle India, Sari or Sanitation at Rural India, is a unique attempt tp promote female literacy by providing them with toilet and hygiene requirement where desperately required. It was a happy day for LC India and CPLC46 when we inaugurated A toilet Block of 4 urinals and I western Commde section at Uttarpara Girls High School near Kolkata. The eager and happy faces of the girls of the school was immensely satisfying for us.
Sari project By Ladies Circle India and CPLC46 with the help of LC 503, UK. |
| For every Toilet Block we build we'll add another roll!! | |
| How does the project work? Ladies Circle will work internationally to support the project for the next 2 years. GB&I will run the project working 'side by side' with Ladies Circle India, who will help manage the project with the working parties. There will be no funds lost to administration – every penny goes into bricks, mortar and labour. Materials and labour will be sourced locally in India.
